Mabuyok festival and Mainit Lake - A unique tradition in our community

 In the heart of my beautiful hometown, "Mainit," a beautiful municipality, we celebrate the "Mabuyok Festival" every second week of December. This festival is so special because of our rich culture and the beauty of nature called "Mainit Lake." It usually takes place where people can enjoy the warm weather, the beautiful view, and the beauty of Mainit Lake. The name "Mabuyok" comes from the local festival, where people come together to commemorate the town's founding day with vibrant cultural performances and dances. It also highlights Maranao culture through traditional dances (mga katutubo). One of the highlights of the Mabuyok Festival is the costumes and props. Twenty-one barangays come together to watch with their families, friends, and relatives.
